The Valencia CF legend scored four goals in 20 minutes against Real Sociedad in 1941
The Valencia CF legend, Mundo Suárez, still holds the record in LaLiga history as the player who scored four goals the earliest in the highest level of the Spanish Football League. The Barakaldo native achieved this feat in 1941 against Real Sociedad.

On October 5th, 1941, the Camp de Mestalla witnessed a historic day in Spanish football, as Mundo Suárez scored four goals within just the first 20 minutes of the second LaLiga matchday against Real Sociedad. Valencia CF went on to win the match by six goals to nil.
In the top 3 of the ranking are Sørloth (Atlético de Madrid vs. Real Sociedad in 2025) and Raimundo (Sevilla FC vs. Real Oviedo in 1941).
Mundo Suárez and his story as a Valencia player
Edmundo Suárez 'Mundo' is synonymous with goals. The Barakaldo native is the all-time top scorer for Valencia CF with 266 goals in 286 matches and one of the top scorers in LaLiga history. Mundo joined Valencia CF in 1939 after his time at Athletic Club de Bilbao and Barakaldo CF.

The forward, who was part of the 'delantera eléctrica' of the team, wore the Valencia CF jersey for 11 seasons, during which he won 7 titles: Regional 1940, Copa 1941, LaLiga 1941-42, LaLiga 1943-44, LaLiga 1946-47, Copa 1949, and Copa Eva Duarte 1950. Additionally, as a coach, he won the Copa in 1967. On an individual level, he won the 'Pichichi' trophy twice.
